Getting Ready
Follow these steps:
Designate one associate who will be responsible for the entire Update installation. This will help insure continuity and flow throughout the entrie Update process. This person should be familiar with the location of all Accu-Med programs.
In order to install this Update, all users, with the exception of the designated install associate, must be signed completely out of the HIPAA Transaction Manager program, including HIPAA Transaction Manager server program.
Verify the latest software version is currently installed on the system, Version 1.5.5.
Confirm the Build code in the Help About box on the HIPAA Transaction Manager main screen reads 1.5.5.43. If it does not read 1.5.5.43 call Accu-Med Technical Support - DO NOT CONTINUE!

Installing the update
Accu-Med.com Web Install - Access MAPS.EXE
The disk drive designator can vary from system to system; however, it is usually "A:" (no quotes). In this example, the disk designator is "a:" with an OPTIONAL "\" to specify the root directory (ie., A:\).
Open your workstation's Internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) and enter www.accu-med.com in the address box and press [Enter]. After loading of the Accu-med.com main web page click on the Updates link from the menu list. Click on the 'Accu-Count Financial Updates' link on the left. Then Click on the HIPAA Transaction Manager 1.5.5 NPI Mapping Script Update and follow the on screen directions.
File Download
The File Download screen is displayed.
Click Run to continue the download and installation process.
