Vicura eliminates the volumes of paper, multicolored markers and sometimes illegible handwriting, replacing them with a completely legible, simple, integrated electronic MAR/TAR. It organizes the activities of the staff, providing clear direction on when and how activities need to be accomplished and a simple and rapid means of appropriately documenting them.

Intelligent inventory management

Drug inventory is simply scanned with a bar code scanner as it is received and its location noted. As the resident or cart-based drugs are used, Vicura keeps track. When the days supply or number of units falls to a level that the facility has defined, Vicura will automatically propose a re-order from your pharmacy. If the facility or clinician needs to re-order sooner, it's as simple as a mouse click.

As new orders, changes, renewals or discontinues are entered into Vicura, they are immediately and securely transmitted to your Omnicare pharmacy's information system. The orders are checked for contraindications and reviewed clinically by one of our professional, licensed pharmacists before being filled. You and your residents will have the same peace of mind you have today, but with far less paperwork and far fewer faxes and phone calls.
 
Say goodbye to the hassles of tracking and re-ordering drug inventory
In conjunction with its user friendly ordering and medication administration modules, Vicura's inventory module can track inventory by resident and location (ebox). You simply set minimum inventory levels by days-supply or doses and Vicura will automatically propose a re-order from your pharmacy when it's time. Your pharmacy can even let you know the progress of your order directly through Vicura (Received, Being Filled, Shipped).
