Accu-Count Financial Updates2010 HCPCS Library Update (Click Here) The 2010 HIPAA Codeset Update release for the Accu-Count Financial DOS software is now available.
The code set update contains the latest CMS posted release of the HIPAA mandated HCPCS code set. This revised code set is effective for all dates of service on or after January 1, 2010. If you have any questions regarding this release, please do not hesitate to contact the Accu-Count Support team at 800-777-9144, (select 4 for Accu-Count Financial Support). 2010 ICD-9 Library Update (Click Here) The 2010 ICD-9 Library for the Accu-Count Financial DOS software is now available.
The timing of the ICD-9 update is extremely important. The file and update instructions are available to download now. The new codes became effective October 1, 2009. The update will add new codes, modify existing codes and flag the invalid codes as header records (invalid transmission codes) which cannot be used at the Resident level. As a result of these changes, our recommendation is to coordinate running the update as close to October 1st as possible. The interim period that allows dual use of NPI and Legacy codes for claim processing will end May 22, 2008. After May 22, only NPI codes can be used for processing 837I claims. The HIPAA Transaction Manager (HTM) software has been updated to accomodate NPI only transaction codes. The file and update instructions are available to download now.
